Cygames’ Rage Of Bahamut Exceeds Two Million Users Outside Japan

TOKYO, JAPAN (Jul 19th, 2012) – Cygames Inc., subsidiary of CyberAgent, Inc. (TOKYO:4751), developer and operator of popular social games, today announced that the user base of Rage Of Bahamut, Cygames’ English-language social card game provided on Mobage’s worldwide network (http://mobage.com), exceeded two million outside of Japan on July 10, 2012.

Rage of Bahamut (RoB) is debuted in February 2012 and became No.1 on the Top Grossing Chart on US Google Play in April, and still remains No.1 over 14 consecutive weeks. In addition, Rage of Bahamut’s iOS app also ranked No.1 on the Top Grossing Chart of US App Store as of June 12, 2012.

“This achievement is a clear indication that this visually stunning, made-in-Japan RPG has been greatly enjoyed by users worldwide for its innovative game mechanics and enchantingly-designed cards,” said Yusuke Hidaka, Vice President of CyberAgent, Inc. “We hope that more users outside of Japan will enjoy our games as we plan to expand our overseas business operations.”

The original RoB (‘Shingeki-no-Bahamut’) is a fantasy adventure game in which players roam the world, drawing out powers from cards. After choosing between ‘Man’, ‘Gods’ or ‘Demons’ cards, players build and strengthen themselves as well as their teams by collecting, synthesizing and evolving a variety of unique cards. In Japan, the original RoB is provided as an HTML-based browser game on the domestic Mobage” network, which is operated by DeNA Co., Ltd. On Mobage’s worldwide network, RoB is provided as smartphone app for both Android and iOS users.

In addition to RoB, Cygames intends to continuously provide a wide range of games, thereby enabling an increasing number of people all over the world to enjoy and enhancing their gaming experiences.
