“Ameba Pigg” releases the fifth large-scale social game for PCs, “Pigg Café,” in which users can enjoy developing their own fashionable café
“Ameba Pigg,” which is the avatar community service operated by CyberAgent, Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Susumu Fujita; Listed on the Mothers section of Tokyo Stock Exchange; Securities identification code: 4751), will release “Pigg Café,” a social game for PCs, in which you can enjoy developing your own fashionable café, on August 21, 2012.
“Pigg Café” enables users to own their own cafés inside “Ameba Pigg.” Users can enjoy developing their own cafés, serving drinks and dishes to guests. The number of guest characters is over 120, which is the largest in the history of “Ameba Pigg.” Users can raise their level by serving coffee and spaghetti Neapolitan, etc. to various guests or meeting the requests of guests. In addition, users can employ Pigg Friends*1 at their own cafés or assist Pigg Friends in the operation of their cafés while enjoying the communication among users. As the levels of cooking and assisting get higher, the number of dishes served in cafés and employment capacity increase respectively, and users can invite more guests to develop their cafés. So its game element is larger than the previously-released social games of “Ameba Pigg”.
The service of “Ameba Pigg” started in February 2009. The number of users exceeded 13.1 million yen (as of July 2012) and it expanded in a unique manner as the largest virtual space in Japan. Following “Pigg Life,” “Pigg Island,” and “Pigg Café,” which are the large-scale social games focused on the communication among users, we plan to release “Pigg World” under the theme of developing a city in September 2012. For “Ameba Pigg,” we aim to energize its services and increase users, by developing a social game utilizing the strengths as a community service for PCs.
*1: Pigg Friends mean the function for making friends based on approvals, with which users can share online information inside “Ameba Pigg.”
